Fall 2023 Research Assistants (2-6) for Etiology of Personality & Individual Characteristics Lab

Are you interested in gaining research experience? Whether it's for graduate school applications, job skills, or just for fun we are accepting assistants in the Etiology of Personality & Individual Characteristics Lab! We are looking for 2-6 students for the power dynamics literature review project. In Fall 2023, we will be flexible on whether work meetings will be in person or on Zoom. We accept those looking to volunteer or get PSYC 290 credit.

About the power dynamics literature review:
Do you have interest in the dynamics between people within romantic partnerships? Eleanor Junkins is looking for dedicated research assistants to synthesize the literature on power dynamics, specifically antecedents and outcomes of power dynamics within diverse partnerships. This project will be a large review of past literature involving reviewing abstracts, reading articles, coding study information, and keeping detailed notes in Google Sheets. Teams will meet with Eleanor to review weekly assignments.

Research assistantship information:
We anticipate that the time commitment will be 6 hours per week, but they can be completed at your leisure. Research assistants will be responsible for completing weekly tasks on time. This may mean skimming a set of assigned articles and coding whether they meet or do not meet our inclusion criteria or copying and double-checking spreadsheet data. This is a great opportunity for students who are interested in getting research experience.

No prior experience with research is required – just a desire to learn and work hard!

Please fill out this form if you are interested https://forms.gle/DwhJvJC56GbnaL6s8 and we will be in touch if we would like to schedule an interview on Zoom. You will know by August 1, 2023 if you were chosen to be interviewed. Thank you for your interest!
